WE ONLY HAVE 1 LIFE TO LIVE

Vishnu Annapareddy is a global entrepreneur who is an expert in building businesses from scratch. At present, he is the Country Head, as well as the Country Head, of SalesWorks Philippines and a Managing Director of AGL Asia Solutions. He supports the global brand ambassador (BA) community and inspires thousands of BAs across the globe to dream big and turn their dreams into reality.

Through his FaceBook Live sessions, Vishnu provides insight into his thinking. In Koffee Konversations, Vishnu presents his conversations with future leaders about building a career with a strong mentality as a foundation. Snackables are Vishnu's articles where he shares his experience and insights into overcoming day-to-day life and career challenges.

Early Life:

Vishnu was born in the city of Hyderabad in India. He came from a modest middle-class family. He was raised in a traditional family where education comes first and everything else was last. Vishnu went to Sri Chaitanya Junior Kalasala, where he majored in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. He never worked in India.

Australia Life:

Vishnu's parents wanted him to be either a doctor or engineer, but he was interested in neither. He, along with ten of his friends, went overseas to study Information Technology at the University of Canberra on a student education loan.

Why IT?

Vishnu, along with his friends, thought that he could spend plenty of time playing computer games while studying IT. However, reality was far from it. At the age of 21, Vishnu already started teaching students at the Student Resource Center of the University of Canberra. He was one of the first students to teach at a young age in the University.

McDonalds/Dish Washing/Vacuuming Cinema Theatres:

Vishnu's first part-time job was working at McDonalds. His communication skills were not excellent, so he was assigned with the kitchen team instead of the service crew as a cashier. There, he learnt how to make burgers and cook French fries and chicken nuggets. In the evening, he worked as a dishwasher in one of the local Indian restaurants in Canberra called Bollywood Masala and vacuumed cinema theatres at the local cinemas called Hoyts.

All these odd jobs helped Vishnu to learn three critical things in life:

  1.  Sometimes “no choice” is the best choice.

  2. Treat people like how you like to be treated.

  3. In life, everything happens for a reason.

Sales and Marketing Adventure:

As a fresh graduate, Vishnu was confused as to what career to choose. One of his friends personally recruited him to be a Brand Ambassador. As a BA, he accomplished sales and marketing jobs for some major clients from Banking, Energy, and Telecommunications industries, as well as NGOs. At the age of 22 years, Vishnu opened his first marketing company in Australia and became the youngest entrepreneur among his family and friends.

Malaysian Life:

Seeing Vishnu’s remarkable success in building his first business, Appco Group (www.appcgroup.asia) gave him an opportunity to open his business in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2006. As Vishnu has always been a people person, learning the culture was not that difficult to him, so he was able to grow his business from a one-man enterprise to a company with 80 BAs in a span of three years. He opened offices in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Johor Bahru. Consequently, his marketing company won Marketing Office of the Year in 2008.

Philippines Adventures:

In mid-2009, Vishnu was presented with the opportunity of expanding the business to the Philippines. From a team of five, SalesWorks Philippines has grown to employ over 150 BAs and expanded to Makati City and Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The company continues to progress as Vishnu, along with his team, plans to open offices in Davao and Iloilo this year.

Vishnu believes that we all have OneLife to live. We are all born in a great country and to great parents who took care of our education and health.  We could have been born as anything in this life, but were born as human beings (the most superior race on this planet), yet we complain. We should not do so.

Vishnu:

“I believe that we should give life to our dreams and let them outlive us through our legacy. Being born as a human being is like winning a lottery. Let us not waste this precious life and let us be Something More. I have made striving to “Be Something More” my life mission because we only have one life to live, and I will do my part through my work to spread this message. By leading a good example, I hope that others will be inspired to follow.
